Fun Ways to Burn More Calories

Fun Ways to Burn More Calories

There are so many ways that you can ramp up your calorie burning efforts and they don’t have to be boring, they can be fun!

For instance you could learn the latest dance steps either through a video or by joining a dance class! How cool would it be for you to bust a move at a party after practicing the latest hip hop or ballroom dancing techniques. Dancing is a fun way to be active and burn calories.

How about getting yourself a dog? You have no choice but to walk them no matter how you’re feeling. It’s a little easier to get yourself moving when you realize that if you don’t your pet will do its business all over your house!

Walking is one of the best ways to burn more calories and get fit. Walking or jogging with a dog is lots of fun and very motivating! If you don’t want the responsibility of a full-time pet why not offer to walk a friend’s or neighbor’s dog. This way you get the benefit of all that exercise and they get a break!

Get involved in your community. How about volunteering to lead walks for the elderly? You’d be helping other’s get in shape and live longer, healthier lives. What a great feeling to get in shape yourself and burn more calories while helping the seniors in your neighborhood.

Another great way to burn more calories is to work outdoors. How about offering your services for snow shoveling or leaf raking, you would get some great exercise and you could even make some extra money on the side! You could offer to clean out garages, attics, basements as well. People pay pretty good money to have this kind of stuff done for them and it’s a great way to ramp up your metabolism at the same time.

Okay, so maybe cleaning is not your idea of a fun way to burn more calories but thinking outside the box will help you to come up with more fun ways to motivate yourself to exercise.
